Compass & Cavern Larimer @ Larimer Lounge 12/11/2016

This was the first professional interview that I had ever conducted and it was an interesting experience to say the least. I don’t usually have my questions written down, and tend to like the conversation to be free flowing, I think it helped all of us be a bit more relaxed. I met Compass & Cavern through mutual friends within the band From Thin Air at the time, and decided to try and interview them post show. They are a band local out of Colorado with a unique sound that emanates the sound of what Colorado really is in a way. The echoes within their music seems to cascade from the mountains themselves and reverberate in your mind as you listen to it. Sadly this post is written several years after the fact, so not all the details are fresh in my mind, but overall I won’t ever forget this moment with the band. I hope they come to find this and know how much I appreciated them giving me this opportunity. This has become my standard format for interviews as it just feels more natural than your bog standard interview and would love to do a follow up with them. Be sure to check them out across all their media and check out the sound that is uniquely Compass & Cavern
